Tuomo Kauttu is a partner at Aliant and the head of the Aliant practice in Finland. He is the leading authority on Corporate law in the region and has over 20 years of experience providing legal counsel to businesses in many industries including, technology, machinery, manufacturing, energy, airline and real estate.

Tuomo works on commercial transactions and international operations. He represents corporate clients and institutional investors in acquisitions and other transactions involved in the selling or purchase of a business. He guides his clients through the processes involved in corporate law, particularly in working with governing bodies.

Tuomo gained his Master of Law Degree from the University of Helsinki, and an LL.M. from the University of Washington Law School with a focus on corporate law and taxation, mergers and acquisitions, investments and business planning. With his knowledge of US corporate law, Finnish law and government procedures, Tuomo is able to serve his clients’ local and cross-border legal needs.

Tuomo is a member of the Finnish Bar Association; the Industry Committee at the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce; the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) Commission on Commercial Law and Practice, and Commission on Taxation; and an associate member of the American Bar Association (ABA) where he serves on both the International Business Law Committee and the Committee on Mergers and Acquisitions.

He has published numerous articles and continues to lecture at various institutes in Finland and abroad.
